Based on the Parhelia LX chip, Millennium P650 and Millennium P750 offer maximum productivity gains as well as cost efficiency through multi-display support – according to Matrox. Thanks to the bandwidth support of the AGP 8X interface, the Millennium P series complements the Matrox G product line, including two independent DVI outputs with resolutions of up to 1600 x 1200 pixels, fully symmetrical RGB output of up to 1920 x 1440 points and Matrox’s TripleHead and Dual Display plus TV output technology. The Millennium P series is equipped with two 400 MHz, 10-bit, gamma-correction-capable UltraSharp RAMDACs, which are intended to ensure good image quality. In addition, Glyph anti-aliasing technology takes care of optimal smoothing of text edges. Both Millennium P650 and Millennium P750 support 64 MB of graphics memory and DualHead functionality, including dual DVI output. Millennium P750 additionally offers the unique TripleHead as well as Dual Display plus TV output and increased performance.
The multi-display functionality of the Millennium P series offers two independent hardware overlays and a TripleHead desktop, which significantly improve the usefulness of any hardware NLE workstation. Users of a software NLE workstation benefit directly from the
Dual Display plus TV output, since they can check their projects directly on a video monitor while at the same time working more clearly on a DualHead desktop.
Design engineers and technical draftsmen in particular benefit, because Matrox also supplies special PrecisionCAD drivers, numerous plug-ins and tools from Tornado Technologies. The Millennium P series is also certified for Bentley Microstation, Autodesk AutoCAD 2002 products, Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks. The Millennium P750 comes onto the market at a price of 289 euros. The graphics cards will be available in stores or directly from Matrox from the second quarter of 2003.
