The SDK (Software Developer Kit) makes it possible to integrate the digitizers into applications running on Apple systems. The companies are already planning integration with the following 3D packages: Argon, Cobalt, Graphite, Neon and Xenon; solidThinking; Amapi Pro 7 (www.eovia.com); form.Z (www.formz.com); and Pixels3D (www.pixels.net). Visitors could already try the final three applications at the Immersion booth. Immersion’s MicroScribe series makes it possible to measure physical 3D objects very accurately and transfer them to a computer as digital 3D models. Different models offer working ranges from 50 to 66 inches and accuracy from 0.017 to 0.009 inches.
