The Eovia technology “Impression” offers non-photorealistic rendering. Forms of classical art such as oil painting, chalk, sketch drawing, watercolor and others can be simulated. Support for HDRI and improved lighting and reflection options are intended to provide more realistic rendering effects. Among the modeling tools, the Dynamic Extrusion Tool has been added, which can be used to create basic objects and complex models in real time. A UV editor for more efficient control of textures and shadows, a subdivision tool for edge design and the new Tree Maker for creating realistic trees round out the toolbox. Extended shading options improve the shadows of objects, with two shadows now also combinable. Last but not least, Eovia optimized the workflow through the Scene Wizard, a collection of hundreds of predefined scenes and shadows.
