DVS is adding primary real-time colour correction to Clipster, its resolution-independent editing system for uncompressed video from SD to 2K. The platform operates throughout in real time.
An open plug-in interface allows Clipster to adapt to different workflows. The system is available with HS-ART plug-ins for video and film restoration and supports compositing with Adobe After Effects, Discreet Combustion and Eyeon Digital Fusion.
DVS has also restructured its HD Station digital disk recorder range. A new model replaces HD Station Plus and HD Station RGB and uses the Windows file system instead of a proprietary format.
Video and audio can be stored as DPX, Cineon, BMP, TGA or AIFF files and accessed through Windows Explorer without prior rendering, making the recorder suitable for SAN environments.
The company will also show Centaurus, a new PCI-X card replacing SD Station OEM and HD Station OEM. It supports uncompressed SD, HD and 2K systems, common rasters, colour modes and image sequences, and resolutions up to 2,048 by 1,556 pixels.
