At Siggraph, D2 Software presented version 4.4 of the compositing program Nuke. It runs on all systems, whether Windows, Linux, Irix or Mac OS X, and includes a paint module with functions that can be found in Combustion, for example. Users can animate any number of splines and insert text. The remaining modules were also improved. As soon as the new Primatte keyer is available, it will also be integrated into Nuke.
In addition, the OpenFX interface was further expanded, so that almost all plug-ins from “The Foundry” can now be used with Nuke.
At a price of US$5,999, the new version will be just as expensive as the previous version. An update price is not known. The software is available now and can be ordered from one of the trading partners.
