Autodesk planned to introduce Toxik 2007 at NAB in Las Vegas, one year after first showing its digital compositing system for feature films at the same event.
The principal addition is a paint system for interactive work on high-resolution HDR images. Its tools target standard artist tasks including wire and rig removal, retouching and digital matte painting.
Other changes include improved AMD processor support, tighter integration with other Autodesk systems and updates to Toxik’s animation system. Master Keyer Extension Tools, previously supplied in March to customers with a software-service contract, became part of the standard application.
Autodesk targeted summer 2006 for release on Linux and Windows. A single seat with one year of software service cost €9,010 excluding VAT.
