The new DVNR 2K workstation from Digital Vision now supports filtering 2K data in real time. In its basic configuration, the system is equipped with four dual-core AMD64 processors and contains an Nvidia Quadro FX 5500 SDI graphics card. The machine can be upgraded with four additional processors to a total of 16 processor cores.
The new system enables the removal of noise, grain and scratches from 2K material in real time and can be connected directly to a telecine. It also supports the formats 1080P/PsF, 1080i, 576i and 480i in RGB 4:4:4 and YUV 4:2:2/4:4:4. It can also convert between RGB and YUV.
Another NAB innovation is Cifer, a product that came about through collaboration with the company Pro-Bel. It is an HD/SD and SD/HD standards converter. Digital Vision had already announced it at IBC 2005, and it is now ready for delivery. The special Motion Estimator ensures that the image quality of the scaled copy cannot be visually distinguished from the original. The system is freely scalable and thus also equipped for complex tasks.
The company is also presenting a new version of Digital Vision Optics (DVO), a software version of the DVNR hardware. It is intended to work substantially faster and can be installed on all Nucoda products.
Digital Vision does not state a fixed price for any of the products mentioned, since the systems can be designed individually.
