Avid workshops as part of the Munich Film Festival

Avid presents its new products from NAB 2006 at the Munich Film Festival 2006. On July 17 at 3.30 p.m., a panel discussion on the topic “Animation everywhere: Visual Effects in Film and Television” will take place here together with MedienCampus Bayern. Participants in the discussion are Michael Coldewey of Trixter, Michael Dalock-Schmidt of Avid Technology, Thomas Repp of BAF, Gabriele M. Walther of Caligari Film and Prof. Peter C. Slansky of the University of Television and Film Munich. Afterward, at 5:15 p.m., Avid invites visitors to the Avid Xpress Studio demonstration in the Blackbox, where users will also report on their experiences with Avid solutions in everyday production. Avid is also active in cooperation with its dealers DVE and Videocation at the “Digital Cinematography” event, which takes place on Museum Island as part of the Munich Film Festival. On July 21, DVE presents the Avid Media Composer family and offers interested parties practical insights into the current version Avid Liquid 7.0 in workshops. At the same time, Videocation presents Avid Symphony Nitris and Avid DS Nitris and conducts Avid Xpress Studio workshops. Both workshops are aimed at post-production professionals. In addition, “Digital Cinematography” offers visitors numerous technical seminars and screenings of HD films from the regional film industry.
