Luxology’s “imageSynth” plug-in for Adobe Photoshop CS and CS2 is now also available separately from Modo. The price in the Luxology online shop is 99 dollars. Modo customers, however, continue to receive it free of charge.
The main task of imageSynth is to create seamless textures. To do this, the plug-in uses one or more source images or image sections and combines them in such a way that they blend seamlessly into one another and can also be used seamlessly as a texture, brush or similar. In this process, low-resolution image sources can also serve as source material for high-resolution textures.
The plug-in is based on technology from Allegorithmic SAS.
ImageSynth runs both under Windows (2000/XP) and under Mac OS (PowerPC/Intel).
