With updates for two of its most important plug-ins, video software manufacturer Red Giant Software has adapted them to the host applications.
Magic Bullet Editors 2.1.1 and Knoll Light Factory 2.5.1 now natively support both Intel and PowerPC Macs in Final Cut Pro 5.1. The new Avid versions Xpress Pro 5.5 and Media Composer 2 now also support the bothe plug-ins.
Magic Bullet Editors allows the user to give video footage a particular look with the aid of presets. The full version costs 399 dollars. The update from the previous version 2.1 is free.
Knoll Light Factory creates lighting effects. The software is available in a Pro version for 399 dollars and a slimmed-down Editors version for 199 dollars. The update from the previous version 2.5 is free.
