With “Autodesk Toxik 2007 Extension 1,” Autodesk has released the first extension for Toxik 2007. Because of Toxik’s modular structure, Autodesk was able to develop the extensions in parallel with the core application, making a release so shortly after the appearance of Toxik 2007 possible.
Above all, the extension package gives Toxik 2007 some new functions for creating visual effects for cinema films. Some 2D and 3D compositing tools that can edits HDR images have also been added.
Autodesk Toxik Extension 1 brings a new 2D transform function that supplements the existing 3D tool. It is based on a filter technique newly developed by Autodesk.
Other new functions are tools for correcting lens distortions as well as the comparison tools known from Flame.
Autodesk Toxik 2007 Extension 1 is currently available only to “Autodesk Subscription” members. They can download the extension from the Toxik portal page.
