Graphics and media processor manufacturer Nvidia is now accepting applications for its “Nvidia Fellowship Program”. As part of this program, the company is awarding fellowships for the 2007/08 academic year to doctoral students conducting research in the fields of graphics and digital media.
With the “Fellowship Program”, Nvidia supports doctoral students whose research topics will help the graphics and digital media industry achieve breakthroughs. The recipients of the fellowships receive not only financial support, but also have unlimited access to all Nvidia products and technologies and can furthermore exchange ideas with Nvidia engineers, the company emphasizes.
“The Nvidia Fellowship Program is intended to support graphics and computing research at universities around the world and stimulate communication between Nvidia’s research and development team and talented students and professors”, explains Nvidia Chief Scientist Dr. David Kirk: “Since its launch in 2002, the program has supported 45 doctoral students with more than one million US dollars.”
