Autodesk has introduced Productivity Booster, a new extension for 3ds Max subscription customers. It provides more than 30 improvements across animation and Biped, rendering and the user interface.

The extension adds support for AutoCAD and Revit data, including AutoCAD 2008 and Revit 2008. New DWG import functions and revised memory management are designed to improve performance when transferring large files and complex scenes. Select Similar analyses file metadata and groups objects with shared attributes, making multiple scene objects easier to identify and replace.
Productivity Booster also makes 3ds Max 9 compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows Vista and with DirectX 10.
The extension was scheduled to become available for subscription customers to download on 29 March. Distribution of the first software CDs was planned for 4 April 2007.
