In recent years, Real Time Technologies (RTT) has opened up a considerable market niche with its visualization solutions. The company offers products for virtual prototyping and for marketing. The Munich company’s software is now particularly widespread in the automotive industry.

Employees of all major car brands accordingly dominated the 8th RTT Conference, which took place this year on May 10 and 11 in West Berlin’s former postal railway station. 320 visitors came to the talks and the small exhibition, along with around 70 RTT employees.

#8. RTT Conference

Talks showed how, for example, Toyota or General Motors each networked their various research locations around the world and improved the exchange of design drafts.

Other speakers showed car configurators with which, for example, the new Audio R8 can be configured on the Internet or in the showroom. The special feature of this idea, which is actually no longer entirely new, is that the changes to the virtual model, including elaborate shaders and effects, take place almost in real time.

For the future of its three main applications RTT DeltaGen 7.0 (preparing virtual scenes), RTT Portal 3.0 (media asset management) and RTT DeltaView (viewing and presenting), RTT announced, among other things, complete scalability and Quicktime VR support.
