Gypsy Gyro was the first inertial gyroscopic motion-capture system when it was released in 2004. The new software generation completed beta testing at the end of July. “The new system offers trouble-free data flow and improved real-time functionality,” said Director of Technology Ali Kord.
New features include an improved patent-pending Global Translation System. The IGS-190 is designed to position performers with high precision and can be expanded with optional ultrasonic tracking. An additional sensor brings the total to 19, enabling more accurate motion capture and a stronger data output while reducing postprocessing.
Marketing Director Jo Hull said: “Feedback from the beta tests showed that the new features were very well received. For Animazoo, the product launch marks a new stage in the company’s development. We also took the opportunity to change our corporate identity. A new logo and website will be presented later this week.”
