The project will expand the existing two channels to a total of eight while operations continue. In addition to two European transmission paths, the system will soon provide separate routes and expanded programming for North America, Latin America, the Arab states, Africa, and Asia. The eighth channel will serve as a reserve. The system design also allows two more channels to be added in the future.
Deutsche Welle TV Expands Playout Centre
Wellen + Nöthen will expand Deutsche Welle TV’s Berlin playout centre from two channels to eight for regionalised broadcasting.
