Siggraph is moving on to a new city once again: In 2008, it is Los Angeles’ turn.

The theme of the event will be “Evolve” (Further Develop). Anyone who believes they can contribute something to the further development of the computer graphics industry can now submit their proposals, which will then be reviewed by a jury. The work has to be very good for that, however.

Siggraph provides a very generally formulated scheme that leaves plenty of room, from basic scientific research through film projects to works of art. The form of presentation is also open: Accepted submissions can be shown as a workshop, as a poster, as a video and in several other forms.

The application deadline is January 30, 2008. The works must then be submitted by February 27. The application is made Online via the website.

“Technical Papers” are submitted in a separate process.
