Picturetools invites people to Hamburg for the Autodesk 2008 Launch with 3ds Max 2008 and Maya 2008. On October 9, product presentations and reference customer lectures provide information about the features of the 3D solutions and their practical use in the areas of film production, mechanical and plant engineering as well as archaeology. The venue is the foyer in the building of TuTech GmbH (Harburger Schlossstraße 6 – 12, 21079 Hamburg), which is under the banner of the new versions from 2 to 6 p.m.
The product presentations by Autodesk are supplemented by speakers who describe concrete applications. For example, Klaus Julian Hermannsen from visual distractions uses examples to report on the use of 3ds Max in advertising film production, including for the product “Monte” from Zott. AVACAD presents the visualization of the newly developed MAXIMA diesel locomotive from VOITH Turbo Lokomotivtechnik and reports on the procedure used in implementation. Dr. Willi Kramer from the Archaeological State Office of Schleswig-Holstein describes how 3ds Max has been used in the documentation, reconstructions and visualizations at the large monuments of Viking culture Danewerk and Haithabu.
In addition to the lectures, an exhibition area with practice-oriented solutions awaits: Hugo Hamann shows the output of high-resolution 3ds Max visualizations with the help of Konica Minolta hardware. Kisters presents the output of colored 3D models of 3D constructions and 3D designs (Contex). AVACAD demonstrates the 3D input devices from 3Dconnexion. Autodesk, yello!, Picturetools and AVACAD answer individual questions from launch visitors about the new products.
