dc days: Autodesk Toxik 2008 – VFX Artist Workshop

In cooperation with Dreamwalks, Autodesk gives VFX artists a deep insight into Toxik 2008

Autodesk Toxik 2008 is Autodesk’s new software-based compositing solution with

support for current techniques such as 32-bit HDRI, OpenEXR as well as 3D interoperability.

Four times during the DC Days, Autodesk, in cooperation with Dreamwalks, gives interested VFX artists the opportunity to get to know Toxik 2008 in detail.

On both days, the seminars take place respectively from

10.00 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.

2.00 p.m. – 5.00 p.m.

o’clock.

The agenda looks like this:

30 min. Introduction (User Interface & Player)

30 min. Basics (Comp Ops, Garabge Mask, Tracker, Paint, Keyer)

60 min. TryOut

30 min. 3D Compositing (Reaction, Maya to Toxik)

30 min. TryOut

The number of participants is limited to 10 in each case. At least 5 HP XW workstations with 24-inch HP TFT displays and Wacom Intuos3 tablets are available.

The trainer is Nicholas Ramsay (Autodesk London), assisted by Fabio Ticca (Dreamwalks Solutions for Moving Pictures GmbH).
