In the competition categories Short Film, Advertising Spots and TV Design as well as in the WDR

Special Category, three cash and non-cash prizes worth 21,000 euros each were awarded. Once again, the Avid Special Prize for best editing was also awarded.

The prizewinning and honored films in 2007 come from Germany, France,

Italy, Austria and Hungary.

The Film Academy Baden-Württemberg from Ludwigsburg won no fewer than four prizes. Two prizes went to the Georg Simon Ohm University of Applied Sciences Nuremberg. The 1st prize in the Short Film category went to a student at Bauhaus University Weimar. One of two 1st prizes in the WDR Special Category “Declaration of Love to Radio” went to a student at the Institut of Design Düsseldorf, who had already won a prize at kurzundschön in 2006. The other 1st prize went to students at Mannheim University of Applied Sciences.

The competition is advertised annually throughout Europe among students at film, art and design colleges,

universities of applied sciences and trainees in the practical field.

The films and contributions that kurzundschön awards prizes to and promotes show how funny, imaginative, profound and beautiful stories can be told

in the shortest possible time. In the TV Design and Advertising Film categories, the contributions were not allowed to exceed 100 seconds and in

the Short Stories category a length of 5 minutes. A real challenge for the young filmmakers and designers.
