The Autodesk Inventor Forum 2007 took place on October 23 at the Apollo Theater of the SI Experience Center in Stuttgart-Möhringen. The forum is a symposium for all Inventor users who want to sustainably optimize their work processes with the 3D system. The free user meeting also met with a very strong response this year. With nearly 1,000 participants, the forum was by a wide margin the best-attended Inventor event in Germany to date.

Under the motto „Use the advantages of digital product development“, participants were able to learn in presentations taking place in parallel how they can reduce their costs in product development and increase their efficiency with Digital Prototyping. „Efficient work with large assemblies“, „Design changes made easy“ and „Calculation and simulation“ were only some of the topics. Captivating content from design practice and tips and tricks played a major role. Robert Bosch GmbH and the Ammann Group from Switzerland provided concrete and exciting application examples about the use of Autodesk Inventor in the field of automation technology or in steel and sheet-metal constructions. Wolfgang Lynen, Product Manager for Data Management at Autodesk and organizer of the forum: „With a broad range of 15 technical presentations, we tried to deliver a very concrete benefit for the daily work of our Inventor users, while at the same time also conveying our vision of Digital Prototyping. The very positive response from participants confirmed to us that this concept worked completely.“

Highlights of the event were the outlook on the developments of Autodesk Inventor as well as the presentation of Autodesk AliasStudio in interaction with Inventor. Designer Michal Jelinek demonstrated the modeling of a helicopter in just 45 minutes.
