3Dconnexion, a company of the Logitech Group, is the world’s leading manufacturer of 3D mice for 3D design and visualisation. Neujahr is consistently continuing the 3Dconnexion vision of offering intuitive 3D input solutions to all users: 3D mice are to become the standard peripheral device for all 3D users beyond the professional CAD market.
At design workstations, the 3Dconnexion 3D mouse has long
established itself as a standard tool. With SpacePilot, SpaceExplorer, SpaceNavigator and SpaceTraveler, users control 3D models much more easily and quickly than with just a standard mouse and keyboard. With the 3D mouse, the user can move a 3D object in
one fluid motion, zoom and rotate it. The workflow becomes considerably more efficient through intuitive and fast navigation, and the ergonomic design makes working at the CAD workstation considerably more comfortable.
Neujahr has set himself the goal of continuing the unprecedented triumph of the 3D mouse in the CAD market in other markets as well. “In future, all 3D users should be able to benefit from the advantages of simple and
fast navigation”, explains Dieter Neujahr, President at 3Dconnexion. “Today, our 3D mice can be found at more than every second design workstation in Germany. But 3D applications are also of central importance for Digital Content Creation (DCC), Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) and Geographic Information System (GIS). Professional users will derive great benefit from control with 3D mice in their daily work with 3D data.”
Users also benefit from the fact that 3D mice standardise navigation in the design process. Control with the 3D mouse is carried out in the same way across applications. Users who use several
applications do not have to rethink or
relearn when changing applications. 3Dconnexion is ideally positioned to successfully market 3D mice in new markets. The 3D input devices support more than 100 of the common 3D CAD, DCC, AEC and GIS applications. With a product plate ranging from the inexpensive entry-level device through high-end input devices to the mobile mouse, 3Dconnexion provides all 3D users with a suitable 3D mouse.
Dieter Neujahr has many years of experience in management positions. Before his
entry at 3Dconnexion at the beginning of 2007, he worked as EMEA Manager at Google, and
founded the international success of the market-leading 3D design software Google
SketchUp. Other professional stations in Dieter Neujahr’s career included
Intershop, where, as Vice President (VP) Operations, he accompanied the phase of the strongest
growth in the company’s history. Later, as Executive VP Asia Pacific, he managed six Intershop branches in Asia/Australia from Hong Kong.
Before that, as founder and managing director of Intuit’s Munich European headquarters, he was
responsible for the branches in Central Europe. Neujahr steered the
development and market introduction of software products such as Quicken, QuickSteuer and
QuickBooks. In 1997, he was appointed to the corporate headquarters in Palo Alto, California.
Neujahr studied economics and business information systems and held
management positions in sales and marketing at Computer 2000/Tech
DATA, QMS and Central Point Software, among others.
