On almost every third day, the channel exceeded the 6.0 percent mark! “We are very pleased that viewers have responded so positively to our programme offering,” said Guido Bolten, Managing Director of kabel eins, “and we are confident that, despite major sporting events, we will also be able to impress in 2008 with attractive alternatives and a clearly positioned brand. An important step towards this is also the new design, including a new channel claim, which we will present in February.”

The afternoon (Mon-Fri, 1.00 to 6.00 pm), which increased by +0.3 percentage points compared with 2006 to a 6.2 percent market share, and prime time (Mon-Fri, 8.15 to 11.15 pm), which reached 5.6 percent (2006: 5.4 percent), were particularly on a growth course in 2007.
