Since its founding in 2000, the WorldMediaFestival has established itself as an international competition for audiovisual communication media. It was initiated and organized by Hamburg agency intermedia filmvertrieb Menck & Co.
The awards recognize the artistic and technical quality of film productions and how appropriately they address their target audiences. The intermedia-globe Gold for the best production in the Animation category and the intermedia-globe Grand Award in the same category were presented ceremonially on the evening of 14 May 2008 at a gala event in Hamburg’s Delphi Showpalast.
Mackevision Medien Design GmbH received the awards for the high-quality 3D imagery in the one-minute product film for the new Dodge Journey crossover van. The film vehicle was created entirely in 3D. Performers were filmed against green screens or partly in real environments and integrated into the film sequences in post-production.
