The animago AWARD has developed into the most important 2D/3D competition in the German-speaking region. More than 10,000 submissions, from animations for film and television, commercials, short films and industrial productions to ambitious home productions, have so far competed at the animago AWARD. The highlight of the annual competition is the awards ceremony and its accompanying event. This year, the winners will be chosen as part of digital creation days on 12 and 13 November in Karlsruhe.
The entire German-speaking digital-creation industry meets at digital creation days: traditional postproduction houses, film and TV producers, TV broadcasters, advertising and marketing agencies, architects, designers, game developers and publishers use the occasion as a networking event. They all benefit from the exhibition, workshops, job exchange and, above all, the animago Event 2008, which reflects the industry’s rapid technological development.
The workshop programme at digital creation days has various focal points. The first day is mainly devoted to software and solutions for the animation industry. On the second day, visitors learn everything worth knowing about visualisation and its possible applications.
In addition to these events, visitors have the opportunity to attend talks and workshops at the TV Komm media congress, which takes place in parallel with dc days.
“The animago AWARD ceremony and digital creation days are always a highlight for us,” says Managing Director Armin Pohl. “This year, we are particularly pleased about the division of workshop topics, which gives us the opportunity to demonstrate our expertise in system solutions as well. We can also make valuable contacts with customers and emerging talent at the exhibition and the animago event.”
