The EMTEC Movie Cube S800 not only produces a great picture on the television; it also looks impressive itself. Record while watching television
In addition to a recording function, the multimedia box includes both DVB-T and analogue tuners. This means one programme can be watched while another is recorded at the same time. The time-shift function allows viewers to return later to the same point in a television programme that is still being broadcast. Programmes can, of course, also be scheduled for recording.
As a particularly distinctive feature, the Movie Cube S800 includes web radio, bringing news and music from around the world into the home.

The HDMI interface enables fully digital transmission of audio and video signals at the highest quality between different devices. The 720p and 1080i formats guarantee HD compatibility. The S800 is also WLAN-compatible. EMTEC’s Wi200 USB WLAN dongle provides wireless data transfer between a PC and the Movie Cube. The 802.11g standard ensures rapid transfer of films, photos, and music. This is also easily possible through the 10/100 Ethernet interface. The NAS function additionally provides access to other devices, such as a PC or external hard drive. A film stored there can be played through the Movie Cube S800. Like its predecessors, these features make the S800 the ideal repository for all multimedia files and the perfect partner in a media network.
The USB host function makes the device independent of a computer. An MP3 player or camera no longer has to be connected to a computer first to access the multimedia files stored on it. The S800 effortlessly recognises, copies, and plays all common audio, video, and photo formats, including MPEG, XviD, AVI, MP3, WMA, and JPG.

The compact black-and-white unit fits perfectly into any living room. Its low weight and compact dimensions also make the S800 an ideal companion for travel or visits to friends and family.
