Two of Germany’s most popular comedians are lending their voices to two of Disney’s cleverest characters. CHRISTIAN TRAMITZ, known from the comedy series “Bullyparade” and “Tramitz & Friends” as well as the cinema hits DER SCHUH DES MANITU (2001) and (T)RAUMSCHIFF SURPRISE – PERIODE 1 (2004), is now bringing a Disney character to life for the third time. After Papa Marlin in FINDING NEMO and racing car Chick Hicks in CARS, he can now be heard as the superdog BOLT, star of Disney’s animated adventure of the same name, which grossed more than US$27 million during its opening weekend in the United States. Never leaving Bolt’s side is DINO, the television-addicted and extremely voracious hamster who is Bolt’s biggest fan. AXEL STEIN, known from the successful TV series “Hausmeister Krause – Ordnung muss sein” and “Axel,” and from films including KEIN BUND FÜR’S LEBEN (2006) and LAUF UM DEIN LEBEN – VOM JUNKIE ZUM IRON MAN (2007), lends his voice to the lively ball of fur, who travels exclusively inside an acrylic sphere.
BOLT – EIN HUND FÜR ALLE FÄLLE is the first animated adventure from Walt Disney Animation Studios produced under animation icon and Disney/Pixar Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter, whose credits include TOY STORY (1995) and CARS (2006). BOLT – EIN HUND FÜR ALLE FÄLLE marks the directorial debut of Chris Williams and Byron Howard, who have belonged to the Walt Disney Animation Studios creative team for more than ten years and contributed to successful films including MULAN (1998) and LILO & STITCH (2002). BOLT – EIN HUND FÜR ALLE FÄLLE is a warm-hearted, offbeat animated adventure full of slapstick and humor that is set to delight film fans young and old in winter 2009—and in selected cities in the breathtaking visual format of Disney Digital 3D™.
