Vizrt, a manufacturer of real-time 3D graphics software and media-asset-management products, selected enomic.offer from Karlsruhe software company Intermediate and introduced the quotation system. From its Norwegian headquarters, Vizrt intended to centralize and strengthen worldwide sales across subsidiaries in the United States, Israel, Sweden, Austria, Australia, Thailand, Spain, India and the United Kingdom, as well as sales offices in regions including the Middle East, China and Japan.
“With the enomic.offer quotation system, we have significantly optimized worldwide cooperation between our subsidiaries,” explained Carola Kofler, project manager at Peak Software Technologies, Vizrt’s coordinating Austrian subsidiary. “Communicating changes in the product portfolio and coordinating price-list updates have become considerably simpler. We maintain our extensive and complex product offering ourselves in the enomic.offer configurator and rules engine, which keeps us independent of the service provider.”
In addition to 40 sales staff worldwide who created quotations online over the internet from notebooks or offline through data replication, more than 20 back-office employees also worked with the system. “The rapid implementation of our requested changes to the standard system, together with enomic.offer’s guaranteed launch date, played a decisive role in selecting Intermediate,” said Kofler. The system formed the core of Vizrt’s global contact, product and price-list database and sent this data to 11 local Dynamics NAV ERP systems at the different subsidiaries. This centralized master data and prevented locally divergent versions.
Kofler explained: “The enomic.offer interface customized for Vizrt was translated very quickly into English, the system language we required. Configuration ensures that our sales staff can create quotations that are correct in content and technical detail without relying on technical product specialists, allowing our product and service portfolio to be marketed effectively.”
