Tesla GPUs, based on the massively parallel CUDA architecture, have taken the high-performance computing (HPC) sector by storm. They can accelerate simulations by around 50 times.
“The rapid market penetration of Tesla GPUs is the greatest success of a new processor technology in the history of HPC (1),” emphasises Andy Keane, General Manager Tesla Business at NVIDIA. “We are very pleased that a market leader such as HP is using Tesla GPU-based systems, thereby enabling its customers to achieve a significant performance increase in their daily work.”
HP workstations are aimed at users in scientific research, industrial design and 3D animation, who can now benefit from the performance of NVIDIA Tesla GPUs.
“HP workstation customers are professional users who push the boundaries of technology,” emphasises Jeff Wood, Director Worldwide Marketing Workstations at HP.
