Four talking animals on a great adventure. What sounds simple can bring filmmakers joy and pain in equal measure. exozet effects shows the creation of the visual effects from the first storyboard image through compositing of the digital models.
In addition to production insights, the underlying facial-animation model in Softimage is presented. Topics such as hair, HDR lighting and rendering with mental ray are also discussed in detail, and conclusions are drawn for future productions.
