As part of the Ki Pro Hands-on Tour 2010, professional users can experience and try out AJA’s latest solutions live in operation, ComLine explains. Together with digital video specialist AJA, German distributor ComLine is presenting the new Ki Pro hard-disk recorder and the Io Express breakout box.
AJA’s new products enable a continuous, tapeless workflow with the Apple ProRes codec from the camera through to postproduction. For example, the AJA Ki Pro can record in Apple ProRes and footage can be edited immediately without copying or transcoding, the company adds. Users can immediately view and edit dailies. Older or less expensive cameras with good lenses but lower-quality recording can also be used as a second unit. In addition, the Ki Pro can be used as an HD player for presentations.
Alongside the Ki Pro, Io Express and HDP2 will also be shown in conjunction with the HP monitor.
The Ki Pro Hands-on Tour stops in ten German and two Austrian cities. The workshop lasts three hours and is presented by Dirk Ellis, AJA product specialist. Highlight: participants can bring their own equipment to test its interaction with the Ki Pro on site.
