Hands-On Game Development and Industry Gurus Live
Autodesk Media & Entertainment is organising an exclusive roadshow with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) in cooperation with Wacom. Tom Jones, the renowned head of the Environment Team, will provide a detailed insight into the making of Heavenly Sword, the successful game title for the Sony Playstation.
In addition to the roadshow, Autodesk is offering VIP masterclasses on the morning before the events. Well-known character artists such as 3ds Max guru Grayson Charlson of Sony On-line Entertainment lead the classes and show how the Autodesk solutions 3ds Max and Maya are used for 3D modelling and animation.
Alongside this highlight, demos of 3ds Max and Maya, Mudbox 3D Sculpting, Autodesk MotionBuilder for character animation, Autodesk Human IK and Autodesk Kynapse Middleware will also be offered.
The roadshow starts in Paris on July 7 and ends in Warsaw on July 18. In between, Autodesk and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe invite visitors to Frankfurt am Main on July 16. Autodesk and yello!, German distributor for Autodesk's 3ds max animation software, will present 3ds max 8 and its new features together with local partners in Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Ludwigsburg, Munich and Vienna. Guest speakers from film, game development, design visualisation and industry will present their work. Demo artists will present the software in galleries or lofts in each city. The events start at 11.00 a.m. and end at around 5.00 p.m. with a get-together.
DIGITAL PRODUCTION Roadshow “Realization of 3D and Animated Film Productions as a Freelancer”
The well-known book author and demo artist Thomas Harbers presents current productions from the fields of architectural visualization, animated film and technical visualization. DP is cooperating with the private university SAE Institute as part of this roadshow. The workshop series takes place at 9 locations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The venues are the respective SAE branches. The event lasts approximately 3 hours.
