kurzundschön – organised by the Academy of Media Arts Cologne and Westdeutscher Rundfunk Köln – enters its 13th edition with the aim of supporting students and trainees who produce short formats in time-based media.
The application deadline for every competition category is July 30, 2010. Cash and non-cash prizes with a total value of around 30,000 euros will be awarded in 2010.
The competition is aimed at students at film, art, design and media universities, universities of applied sciences, and trainees at other audiovisual training institutions throughout Europe.
kurzundschön takes place in 2010 in four main categories and one special category:
- Short film
- Commercial film
- Motion design
- Mobile miniatures
- WDR special category: spots for “Einsfestival”
