RTT Excite, the leading industry event for professional 3D visualisation, takes place on Munich’s Praterinsel on May 6 and 7, 2010. The event organised by Realtime Technology (RTT) AG brings together experts from design, development, marketing and sales and makes the virtual worlds of 3D visualisation tangible in four themed lounges. In presentations, workshops and demos, RTT joins customers and partners to show examples of 3D visualisations in corporate use and provide an outlook on the future.
The approximately 500 expected participants will be shown the latest software developments and high-end hardware devices in more than 40 technology installations. More than 30 different guest speakers from industry, from companies such as Audi, Adidas, Eurocopter and Porsche, will enrich the programme with business cases and demonstrations. These take place in addition to interdisciplinary presentations by companies such as Amazon, Pixar Animation Studios and Siemens. A broad range of workshops rounds off the event. The international specialist audience is thus offered a unique platform for direct exchange with the industry speakers.
The winners of the student competitions “RTT Emerging Technology Contest” and “RTT Funky Visualization Contest 2010” will also be honoured during RTT Excite. The winning projects can be experienced live during the two days of the event.
“3D is currently on everyone’s lips; films such as ‘Avatar’ have made the subject accessible to a broad public. What is often forgotten is the long-standing use and great potential of 3D visualisations in corporate applications,” explained Ludwig A. Fuchs, member of the executive board and co-founder of RTT AG. “Photorealistic virtual image worlds not only mean new possibilities in marketing and sales; they accelerate decision-making processes in development and design, and therefore enable significant cost savings. Together with our customers and partners, we want to address this as practically as possible at RTT Excite and look ahead to the next decade of 3D visualisation.”
