TurboSquid FumeFX 2.0 Arrives on May 20

New version of the fire and smoke simulation is offered with different upgrade options

From May 20, TurboSquid will ship version 2.0 of its FumeFX and FumeFX SL plug-ins for 3ds Max. FumeFX is used to create realistic fire and smoke effects as well as explosions. Its target audience is VFX artists, game developers and visualisation professionals.

As the company announced in a letter to its dealers, anyone who purchased version 1.2 after February 1 will be able to upgrade free of charge. Anyone who purchased a copy of FumeDX 1.2 before that date can upgrade for 195 dollars. Purchasers of FumeFX SL 1.2 receive a free upgrade to 2.0 regardless of the purchase date and can work with version 2.0 without a new serial number.
