According to its own information, the video-search and web-TV platform clipflakes.tv officially ended its beta phase today. Since the platform launched in July 2009, a total of 2.2 million videos have been indexed. In addition, there is real-time access to hundreds of millions of videos on the internet. Users of the platform therefore access a balanced mix of indexed videos and direct queries to the almost 30 supported video portals when conducting searches. The real-time search ensures up-to-date results.

According to the operator, the search results are so current that videos uploaded to the searched portals on the same day can also be found. Internal tests showed that clipflakes.tv frequently delivers more current results than competing search engines. Thanks to real-time queries and the ability to create platform-independent web-TV playlists, the platform offers clear added value compared with major video search engines such as Google Video, Bing Video, Blinkx and Truveo.

With almost 30 platforms searched and its sophisticated authoring system for creating clip shows, according to its own information clipflakes.tv is currently the most comprehensive video search engine from Germany.
