In the science-fiction blockbuster, humans no longer fight each other in the boxing ring; combat robots do. Hugh Jackman plays a former world boxing champion who has been sidelined and is now trying his hand as a boxing promoter for robot fights. The fight scene between the two robots in the boxing ring was realized with motion capture, with the actors’ movements choreographed throughout."Real Steel" opens in German cinemas on November 10.
The film’s story is based on a science-fiction short story by Richard Matheson, who already provided the source material for the films "I Am Legend" and "Duel" by Steven Spielberg.
