The special feature of this all-in-one PC is the display, which has a 27-inch screen diagonal and can be opened. This allows users to replace hardware parts themselves or install an upgrade when needed. The display also has IPS technology and a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
According to HP, the Z1 will be available from April, with a choice of an Intel Xeon E3-1245 quad-core processor at 3.3 gigahertz, an Intel Xeon E3-1280 quad-core at 3.5 gigahertz, or an Intel Core i3-2120 dual-core at 3.3 gigahertz. The SSD is available in 160 GB or 300 GB.
The Z1 is said to be configurable with Nvidia graphics cards, while the operating system of choice is said to be Linux 11 or Windows 7. The price of the space-saving all-in-one workstation is said to start at 1,599 dollars.
