The update encompasses the following features:
- Preview as an SWF file, i.e. Flash support
- A new particle system called “Shuriken”, which allows editing and playback in Edit Mode. Shuriken is controlled by modules that control the parameters colour, size and movement. The individual particle soures can be grouped and combined into one system, and controlled collectively through the integrated curve editor.

- A pathfinding and obstacle-avoidance system has been added. In other words, a Pathfinding and avoidance sub-system, but the translation sounds so funny. Via NavMesh, a path-finding API, navigation meshes with marked areas are baked in, NavMeshAgent handles control of the characte, and OffmeshLink connects different NavMeshes.
- An Asset Cache Server imports and Shared between users and projects, which according to the manufacturer reduces switching platforms to minutes and allows changes from other team members to be loaded practically in real time.
- With multithreaded rendering – on multicore systems – the overhead is shifted to just one core, on both PC and Xbox
