While AVID Media Composer relies on paid stock sources, Kdenlive remains true to its open-source path and embraces free stock sources. The online databases already integrated include Archive.org, Freesound, and the Open Clip Art Library, and according to the development team, more are to follow.
Effects work
Unlike the previous version, multiple effects can now be applied to a single clip, and ClipJobs help analyze clips for applying further effects. If you want to normalize an audio track, ClipJob can check the track for its overall volume, or the search for and storage of motion vectors for tracking can be carried out with ClipJobs.

The project team received substantial donation income through Indiegogo and wants to use it to drive development forward to such an extent that Version 1 of the application is expected to appear toward the end of this year, which according to the Kdenlive team is intended to be easier to maintain and extend.
