Makibox A6: Affordable 3D Printer for EUR 320

Solidoodle and MakerBot will soon face competition from Hong Kong. Through the crowdfunding platform Makible, capital of 100,000 dollars was raised within 10 weeks, which developer Jonathan Buford used to develop a 3D printer called the Makibox A6.

In developing his vision, Jonathan Buford is pursuing the goal of making 3D printers cheaper and even more compact. Despite the small external dimensions of 220 x 300 x 220 mm, the 3D printer is said to have a build volume of 2 liters. After all, smaller prototypes can be produced with an accuracy of 4 micrometers in XYZ. An outer housing will be included as standard, since without it build errors caused by temperature fluctuations emerge relatively quickly. In other words, the temperature is kept constant in the Makibox A6 build chamber. The materials that can be used are ABS(acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), PLA(polylactide), and PVA(polyvinyl alcohol).

Compatibility will be available for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. All the detailed information can be accessed again and the printer ordered via this link. The delivery time for new orders is approximately 8 weeks.
