It is nothing new that RED is continuously working to improve its own products, and with the new firmware update 3.3, a number of things have once again been improved and errors fixed. One new feature is simultaneous output through HDMI and HD-SDI. There are also new developments with regard to the Pro I/O module. According to RED, both cameras are intended to receive Pro I/O module power control, control of the Camera Audio Output Mix, and full support for video, audio, timecode, synchronization, genlock, and GPIO. This will surely make working a lot of fun.
In addition, higher frame rates (312,325,330,336,350,360,375,384,390) are now available, and audio playback also takes place. This also means that audio playback is available during playback and preview through Pro I/O HD-SDI.
