A total of three packages will be equipped with extensions in the future. Maya users can make use of a DX11 system integrated natively into Maya, including a new DX11 shader. In addition, there will be a mechanism that provides for more targeted representation of objects. Individual objects are thus intended to receive full support for multiple display modes.
3ds Max is getting an addition for the MassFX system. The mParticles module provides better interaction with standard meshes through modified Birth operators and new modifiers, and new tools for data manipulation are intended to help create Particle Flow tools more efficiently. Particle Flow simulations also receive two new cache operators. One provides for caching outside Max, namely on the hard drive, and the second allows specific Particle Flow datasets to be selected.
These new extensions apply mainly to Autodesk subscription customers and are intended to be available through the Subscription Center from the end of September. Anyone wishing to learn more about the extensions may take a look at the associated website.
