From now on, according to Boxx, the dedicated rendering systems designed for home use can be equipped with up to 16 processing cores and up to 256 GB of RAM. The basic equipment provided for a dual-core Xeon E5-2600 with 6 processing cores each. It can now be chosen whether this is used or a dual Xeon with 8 processing cores each is to be installed. In addition, the RAM memory banks can be filled with 32GB DDR3 ECC modules up to a maximum capacity of 256 GB.
In addition to the dual Xeon with 6 cores each and 16 GB DDR3, the basic configuration includes a SATA hard drive with 750 GB storage capacity for just under 4,221 dollars.
