LCoS technology (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) is a technology for display devices similar to an LCD, but unlike an LCD, it does not let light through, but reflects it.
Barco is now benefiting from Sony’s LCoS technology due to the cooperation between the two companies, which has existed for some time. The latest 2,800-lumen SIM 7 projector series now supports LCoS technology, which is intended to increase the contrast ratio from 10,000:1 to 40,000:1.
