This fourth video in a Media Composer 7 tutorial series is interesting because it shows how to edit a cutting project with regard to effects. As an introduction, the artist explains how to add transitions.

He then describes working with the 3D Warp tool, which seems to have become particularly dear to Kevin, because he likes to use this effect again and again in his projects. With the 3D Warp tool, effects work such as position changes, scaling and rotations, which run on a clip basis in other NLE systems, as well as more complicated effects such as keying or corner pinning, can be carried out.

He also shows working with matte keys and basic color correction of footage. The tutorial is intended to enable all artists to quickly create simple effects with Media Composer 7.
