Since mid-January, the features for the 3D printing process have been part of Adobe Creative Cloud through an update. With these new functions, users are expected to be able to create 3D models or edit existing 3D models for 3D printing with familiar Photoshop tools. Features such as "Automated Mesh Repair" and "Support Structure Generation" make it easier to create the models; according to Adobe, a precise preview allows the models to be checked accurately before the print order.

Thanks to the update, Photoshop CC supports all common 3D desktop printers such as the MarkerBot Replicator as well as materials from Shapeways, a 3D community and marketplace. Photoshop users can also now upload their 3D models directly to the 3D publishing service Sketchfab and embed them in their Behance profile with its interactive 3D viewer.

Beyond the 3D printing features, Adobe has added further features: "Perspective Warp" can be used to change the viewing perspective of an object. And "Linked Smart Objects" improves collaboration in teams by automatically updating the final design as soon as the respective reference file has been changed.
