Pro Hands works thanks to the Leap Motion Sensor, a new gesture-control system that the company Leap Motion Incorporated released in Germany in November 2013. (You can find more about this in our DP issue 02/14, "Gesture Control in Media Productions")
Hands are always a problem even in professional performance-capture productions. Hand and finger movements always have to be adapted to the rest of the motion-capture data using keyframe animation.
Perhaps Pro Hands by Jasper Brekelmans can step into this gap. The developer has already shown quite a lot in the field of home body motion capture with Kinect and Body Pro. More about that here.
Pro Hands is intended to work in real time, with no subsequent post-process needed. The application is intended to record directly in FBX, BHV, CSV, and TXT formats and in synchronization with other Brekel applications.
