According to Thinkbox Software, Sequoia is able to create a complete mesh from particle, vertex cloud and laser-scan data. It is compatible with Mac OSX, Linux and Windows; the program is currently still in the development phase, and the beta version is expected to appear at the beginning of 2015.

According to Thinkbox, the tool is able to import and export almost all file formats, allowing it to be integrated into many existing pipelines and toolsets. Once a 3D mesh has been generated, further features are available to smooth the asset and reduce the polygon count.

The new standalone technology is therefore intended to make large quantities of data easier to manage in future.
