“MeTube” was a homage to the thousands of ambitious YouTube users and vidoebloggers in this world. After its release, it spread rapidly across the internet and received more than 1.6 million views on YouTube and Vimeo. For anyone whom “Metube: August sings Carmen ‘Habanera’” nevertheless passed by, here onc again is the complete clip:
The film screened at more than 200 festivals and won 27 prizes, including the “Jury’s Special Prize” at the animago AWARD 2014.
The team around Daniel Moshel has now finished conceptualising part 2 of MeTube, and the project has already received its first fundingcommitments. The final required portion of funding is now to be generated through crowdfunding. So anyone who wants to support the project in order to have another hearty laugh can join in from today (June 1) on Indiegogo.
